Studio Policies
& Etiquette

Our goal is to provide a safe, respectful, and elevated experience for every member. Please review and follow the policies below.

Reservations & Attendance

Reserving a Spot

Classes may be booked 48 hours in advance to reserve a spot through the website or app. Please check online for class size.

Arrival

Please arrive 5 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time to set up and warm up.

Cancellation Policy

We have limited capacity. Cancellations made with sufficient advance notice (2 hours or more) will not incur a penalty. Late cancellations or no-shows will result in a fee of $25 or loss of a class credit.

Late Arrivals

We will hold a reservation for 5 minutes, after which the spot may be given to a walk-in or waitlisted member. Latecomers will be barred from entering after 5 minutes to ensure they do not miss the warm-up and to prevent disruption. Latecomers must find a spot in the rear of the room.

Waitlists

If a class is full, members can join a waitlist. Waitlisted individuals will be added if a spot becomes available and will be charged a no-show fee if they are added and don't attend.

Equipment & Studio Use

Equipment

Members are expected to wipe down and return all equipment they use, including weights and mats, after class.

Personal Belongings

To keep the studio floor clear, personal belongings should be stored in lockers or a designated area.

What to Bring

Bring a towel or mat to class.

Footwear

Classes are done barefoot, with grippy socks, or with shoes. Please no black sole shoes that will leave scuff marks on studio flooring.

Weights

Place weights down carefully. Do not drop or throw.

Conduct & Etiquette

Silence Phones

For a focused and quiet environment, all phones should be silenced or turned off during class. If a call is necessary, members should take it outside.

Minimize Conversation

Excessive chatter during class can be distracting to others and the instructor and should be avoided.

Respect Personal Space

Be mindful of other participants' space, especially in crowded classes. Do not block mirrors or walkways.

Personal Hygiene

To show respect for others, members are asked to maintain good personal hygiene and avoid strong perfumes or colognes.

Communicate Injuries

If you have an injury or physical limitation, please inform the instructor before class so they can suggest modifications.

Modifications

While modifications are sometimes necessary and encouraged, members performing modifications are asked to position themselves toward the back of the room to avoid distracting other participants.

Health & Safety

No Working Out While Sick

For the health and safety of the community, members are asked to stay home if they are feeling unwell.

Reporting Issues

All accidents, injuries, and emergencies should be reported to the nearest staff member or instructor immediately.

Stay Hydrated

Water bottles are permitted in the studio. Members are encouraged to stay hydrated. Food and other beverages are not allowed on the studio floor.

Membership Cancellation & Freeze

1. Membership Cancellation

How to Cancel

FIT allows cancellation in person with a club manager, via registered or certified mail, or by emailing info@fitbycardiobarre.com.

Minimum Commitment

FIT requires a 6-month minimum commitment. Cancelling within this initial period will incur a termination fee.

Exceptions to the Minimum Commitment

You may cancel without a fee within the initial period if you relocate more than 25 miles away from FIT (proof of new address required) or have a medical condition preventing exercise for more than six months (requires a doctor's note).

Post-Commitment Cancellation

After the initial 6-month period you may cancel for any reason, but must provide 30 days notice prior to the next pay cycle or you will be charged for that period.

2. Membership Freeze

Purpose of a Freeze

If you plan on not using the studio for a short period, FIT recommends freezing your membership instead of cancelling. Freezing allows you to temporarily suspend without fully cancelling or potentially incurring reactivation fees. Must be requested in advance.

Duration

Freezes are available for up to 3 months for non-medical reasons, and 6 months for medical reasons — once per cycle.

During a Freeze

Your membership charges may be handled by extending your contract term by the length of the freeze. You cannot access or use any FIT facilities during the freeze period.

How to Freeze

Contact info@fitbycardiobarre.com to inquire about placing your membership on freeze. You may also inquire in person or by phone.

Member Agreement

All new members are required to sign a physical Member Agreement in studio before their first class.

"I confirm that I have read and understood the guidelines, safety rules, and participation requirements for this group exercise program. I agree to comply with all instructions given by the instructor and to conduct myself in a manner that ensures the safety and well-being of myself and others. I acknowledge that failure to follow these guidelines may result in my removal from the session or program."
